Historical Home Renovation

West Broadway, Columbia, Missouri

We were honored to be part of the preservation and restoration of several historic homes along the iconic West Broadway corridor in Columbia, Missouri – including one of the most notable and architecturally significant residences in the area.

Our team approached this project with a deep respect for the craftsmanship and character of these heritage homes, focusing on meticulous exterior restoration that will protect and preserve their beauty for decades to come.

Scope of Work:

Extensive Surface Preparation

We carefully prepped every exterior surface using a combination of sanding, scraping, and cleaning techniques to remove old, failing paint and ensure strong adhesion for new finishes.

Expert Bondo & Wood Repair

Areas with rotted or damaged wood were rebuilt using high-performance Bondo and traditional wood repair techniques, restoring the original profiles and architectural details without compromise.

Premium Priming & Sealing

We applied top-tier primers and sealers specifically chosen for historic exteriors to lock out moisture and ensure long-term durability – a crucial step in protecting the home’s original woodwork.

Full Exterior Painting

The final result includes carefully applied, historically appropriate paint colors that breathe new life into these iconic homes while honoring their original character. The restored front porch features a light blue ceiling, honoring the historic ‘haint blue’ tradition often found in 19th century southern homes – blending cultural heritage with architectural charm.

This project reflects our commitment to craftmanship, historical preservation, and quality materials – and stands as a proud contribution to maintaining Columbia’s architectural heritage.
